A Rescheduling Approach for Freight Railway considering Equity and Efficiency by an Integrated Genetic Algorithm

Since unexpected event occurrences are inevitable, an efficient and effective rescheduling approach is critical in freight railway day-to-day operations. Represented by the minimal-delay objectives, most commonly used efficiency-oriented ignores role of train priority poses equity problems rescheduling. For equity, different also reflects preference deciding orders; i.e., high-priority likely to be favorable. However, a conflict may laid between reducing delays emphasizing priority. Hence, it decide criteria order for railway, especially with heterogeneous competitive resource. To make tradeoff efficiency, this paper makes evolutionary proposed dynamic considering delay time static We formulate optimization model based on strategies such as retime, reorder, retrack complex network containing single-track, double-track, quadruple-track sections.
